CONSTELLATION has employed 17 young researchers during the first 3 years of its 4-year programme (8 Early Stage Researchers [ESR; PhD students] and 9 Experienced Researchers [ER; postdocs]).
However, an opportunity has arisen within the network to appoint more ESRs on short-term contracts. These positions must be filled quickly since CONSTELLATION is in its final year. The deadline for applications is February 10th, 2010 (for the first three positions) and February 25th, 2010 for the 4th position. The details of the positions are as follows:
Two Early-Stage Researcher Positions in The School of Physics & Astronomy at Cardiff University, both from 1 April to 30 November 2010 (8 months), to work on theoretical and numerical simulations of star formation. To apply for one of the positions (DEADLINE 10 February 2010), applicants should contact Professor Ant Whitworth, email: Anthony.Whitworth (at) astro.cf.ac.uk
One Early-Stage Researcher Position at the INAF-Arcetri, for up to 9.5 months, ending on 30 November 2010, to study within the Work Package 1: From Clouds to Cores to Protostars topic. To apply for the position (DEADLINE 10 February 2010), applicants should contact Dr Daniele Galli, email: galli (at) arcetri.astro.it
One Early-Stage Researcher Position at the Astronomical Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague, Czech Republic, from 1 April to 30 November 2010 (8 months), to work on numerical simulations of triggered star formation.
